Here are some more effect shaders, that can be applied i.e. to video playback.
I modified some of the samples from Shazzam (Wpf Wonderland » Blog Archive » Shazzam - WPF Pixel Shader Effect Testing Tool now available or Shazzam Tool)
Maybe they are not so useful for video playback, but my intention is to be able to apply such effects also to UIElements (see UIElement.Effect-Eigenschaft (System.Windows)).
Some ideas for usage: when opening a Dialog, I'd like to "blur" the background, or apply some "glass effect"...
