I've looked around this forum but no info as to setting up a motor for multiple sats in NA.

Help would be greatly appreciated

What exactly do you need to know?
The basic idea is to use the motor control section in TV Server configuration to set up positions for each satellite. I believe the procedure goes something like:

1. Select a satellite and transponder that you are able to receive.
2. Use the motor controls and signal indicator to move the motor into position to receive the satellite.
3. Store the position.
4. Switch over to the channel scanning tab and scan the satellite to pick up the channels.
4. Repeat for each satellite.

I tried that already but for some reason, motor does not seem to be moving towards other satellites. Motor is good and working fine under linux tv app (captiveworks).

If anybody had success configuring a hh-90 stab motor, juste let me know how you did it, please !!!

I see.

I don't recall off the top of my head (I'm at work) whether Genpix tuners have DiSEqC motor control capability with their Windows drivers, so that may be the problem. Can you please post your TV Server logs.

I do not have stab, I have Moteck 2100, however my approach seems does not depend on the motor model (if it supports USALS).

I tuned the dish with one of the old ProgDVB (when there were no inbuild USALS but using DiseqU 1.3 plugin) and FastSatFinder. the reason to use Prog was that it's plugin supports USALS and my card, while FSF does not, but it seems to be better/faster with the signal.

Since MP needs positions to be saved, with ProgDVB's DiseqcU plugin window opened, I started TV Server config and then moved the dish to sats with USALS commands and stored each position from TV Server config.

For me, new ProgDVB does not correctly work with my Skystar USB 2 HD & 1.1 diseqc, so I cannot say whether this will work with new versions (though it has inbuild USALS). Also you may want to try ProgSatFinder which also has USALS. For me ver 2.1 worked, while current one did not.

Since MP keeps motor positions in the database, I backed up diseqcmotor.* files to avoid doing the same procedure during each reinstall.

Not sure how MP deals with multiple cards, so may be you will need either to do positions mapping for each card, or manually edit the database. I am using Heidisql for this. Do not know whether or not it is good - it was the firs I've found.

In principle you can use any software to store positions in to motor, you just need to tell MP which one relate to which sat by just editing diseqcmotor in the database.

It looks like TV Server doesn't currently support DiSEqC motor control for Genpix tuners. Having said that, I've looked at the code and I don't see any reason why support couldn't be added!

If you want to try to see whether motor control would work then:

1. Stop TV Server.
2. Take a backup of the TVLibrary.dll in your TV Server install folder.
3. Download and extract the attached TVLibrary.dll into your TV Server install folder.
4. Start TV Server.
(5. DiSEqC motor control should work.)

Disclaimer: using a PC tuner to control a DiSEqC motor could damage your tuner. The attached file is only for testing - there are no guarantees that it will work.

Tried that without luck...

I managed to move the motor using a geniatech 103g and feeding the genpix device through the loop out, but i had to use progfinder to realise that.

Problem seems to reside in the bda drivers for the usb to 8psk device...

There were no guarantees that it would work first time. I'm willing to keep trying if you are.
First I need to see your logs to see whether TV Server is sending commands to try and make the motor move. If it isn't sending commands yet then it is easy to understand why the motor isn't responding. On the other hand, if TV Server *is* sending commands then we can say the trouble is that the wrong commands are being sent or that the motor/driver are ignoring the commands. For that reason, please post your TV Server logs showing attempts to move the motor (with my patch applied).

I am more than willing to make that dish move....

I will do a fresh install, apply the patch you provided me and than make some attemps to configure the motor. Then, i will make a log and post it here.
