After using Mediaportal for a little while my computer becomes uncontrollable in the respect that it is unresponsive to keyboard buttons or my mouse. I recorded a show and then started watching it. When a commercial started I pressed fast forward and my mouse cursor disappeared and I wasn't able to do anything. The computer kept fast fowarding, it didn't freeze, but I couldn't *control-alt-delete* or use my mouse. Different variations of this have happened on and off. I have just installed Mediaportal and have everything basically default with the exceptin of the Zap2it plugin.

i'm wondering if theres a problem with your USB hub or drivers. Could it be that both your mouse and keyboard connected to the USB hub are disconnected by some event on the computer?

Well....

I've used GBPVR, BTV... and a bunch others and didn't have a problem relating to this. Media-Portal appears to be fantastic, btw.

It definitely isn't an issue of my keyboard and mouse becoming disconnected.... more so that my computer is like freezing but still is still running. It doesn't happen all the time, or at the same time, but most recent time was Fast Forwarding and it continued to fast forward fine, but I wasn't able to do anything. I'd move the mouse around and you could see flickers of it occasionally but I couldn't use it. If I'd press Ctrl-Alt-Delete a few times, things with flicker they they were gonna pop up but didn't. The times this has happened, the only way I can figure out how to get out of it is to press the button on my tower to restart my computer. Ctrl-Alt-Delete twice to restart or shut down doesn't do anything. I can't even get to the Task Manager.

your log was about configuration.log .....
And one other app was obviously accessing the tvdb - which will block further executes until the disturbing app is closed.

So does that appear what to be the problem is? Another program was accessing something? Does it show what program it was? What was it?
