I started a thread about this some time ago but only recently discovered what I believe to be the problem.

The problem came back after I re-enabled WinAmp visualizations via MP Configuration -> Music -> Visualizations. If I select None and launch MP, the mouse begins to auto hide again.
Steps to Reproduce:
Take all the steps to enable WinAmp visualizations in MP. Select one via Config. Start MP. Play a video. The mouse stays on top of the video and does not disappear.
