Hi,
instead of using Keyboard or mouse I decided to install a touchscreen. So fare everything is perfect, the screen itself is placed on my sideboard so I can control my Music-PC very easily and having a fanart slideshow the same time.
There is one thing I tried to figure out but could not find any solution ye. tAt this moment Mediaportal and a touch screen won’t cooperate very well.
Let me give you an example:
Using an remote control or mouse you just place the cursor over any bottom or folder and it will be highlighted – nothing else. If you want this folder to be opened or file to be played you have to press the ok button on your remote control, the enter-key or just click once. That is how it should be - as long as you will not use a touch screen.
This behavior makes it complicated to use a touch screen because as soon as you touch an item in order to select or mark it, it will be opened or start immediately. You have to stop the playback or press the back button and get back all the way to where you want to start.
Obviously touching the screen is like a single click what is regarded as pressing the ok button or the enter key, that means that as soon as you touch the screen the item being highlighted will be executed even if you haven’ t clicked it directly but tried to chose another folder or file. That makes it almost impossible to select items easily.
Is there any way to change xml or something else so Mediaportal takes a single click not as an input acknowledgment like hitting the enter key or doing a double-click?
Mediaportal should behave like that: pointing on an item on the touch screen (single click) just will highlight it, doubleclicking will execute it.
I already tried several skins, but this seems to have no effect. The touch screen plug-in is working but not an option as all the gimmicks mediaportal is famous for (e.g. fanart, slideshows) will be covered and invisible.
At this time I am using MP 1.3 final and StreamedMP 1.9.0.3269 running on Win7 controlled by a touch screen "Touch MEDION AKOYA X54"
