I've put all my media recordings onto a dedicated TV server. Works great.
I just tried moving the TV Series database to the TV server so that I don't have to update the three Clients individually and this is working great also.
I have about 550 movie DVD iso files (so far) on the TV Server as well.

Question: Is it possible to copy my Moving Pictures database and thumbs directory (fanart, covers, banners etc ) to the TV Server as well and have just one central cohesive location for all these?

What xml file would I have to edit to put in the new location?

Keeping the individual client Moving Pictures databases current and in sync is a bit tedious.

Homey - Thanks very much for that link.
Finally got the time to try setting up the central databases today. The path is slightly different on Win7 (in the ProgramData folder).
It's working great. On my notebook (over wifi) loading MP takes quite a bit longer, but on the two hard wired clients there's no slowdown. And now I can update my movie, TV and music databases from one location and have it the same on all clients immediately.
    Thanks again:D

One further question - are the local thumbs folders still in use by the MP Clients or is it all in the cache folder?
If they're no longer used I can delete them and clear some drive space.

If you've set the path in MediaPortalDirs.xml for thumbs also, then you can remove them from the clients.
