Movie database backup (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I am using media portal on vista ultimate 64bit and i would like to make backup of my movies database. In databases folder i can not find any movie database. Can somebody tell me how to backup my movie database and how to import it to another pc in my network which is sharing the same movies..

Everything in Vista should be stored under the c\program data\Team-mediaportal\mediaportal\database + Thumbs folders.

This needs show hidden folders to be enabled.

Thanks for folder location, but when I copy all database folder to another machine with windows xp and overwrite same folder in xp (different location, under program files ...) my old database with all updates is not showing, I mean how to import this database to another machine on win XP.

Bummer, never read past the backup bit.

Unless you edit every entry to point to your network, it will not work, which is time consuming and boring.

Individual scan and then backup db etc.

Hopefully with MP2's release, it will have a centralised db, which all this info will be taken from.
