Hi,
I have imported my dvd library from XMM with MyDVD plugin.
Ok, but not all the library field are completed.
No problem, I decided to use IMDB online refreshing the database.
MP updates the library but when I browse the library it does not display
the new info. (cast, director, plor....etc), only Title, year, covers and some
few others!!!
Why?? If I browse the library file with the setup editor or the "SQLite Database Browser" all fields are completed with the right data!!!
I'm very tired with MP, and I'm very sorry because all other features of this
application are very good but.....without a working database?!?!?!?
Please help me!
TIA
Roby

Nobody can help me?
I don't understand! I've posted this problem many time in
this forum but I haven't received any reply or suggestions.
So I ask:
- I am the only one to have this problem?
- The question is not clear?
- My english is so bad?
- ...the question is so stupid....?
:(
Please, tell me something!
All of you have a fine working database?
Thanks.

sorry I'm not of much help here. Maybe the skin is not made to display the info you request? And if it is, perhaps there is a kind of cache that prevent you from seeing the latest update of your info. I really don't know. I never use the IMDB feature or at least, not that often.
If you can read a little of C# then your best bet is to spend some time inspecting the current code by yourself, and kindly point the discrepencies, if any, to a MediaPortal database specialist.

all the best

thank you for the answer.
This kind of problem appears non only with IMDB update
but also with a new database!!
This is my procedure:
1- install MP, update to the last stable patch.
2- launch setup and configure MP
3- launch setup and enter the fist movie title with the
database editor.
4- save the database and exit setup
5-launch MP, go to MyVideos, highlight the Title of the movie
entered, press F3 and.....only some info appears (cover, title rating)!!!
No info about Director, Plot, Tagline etc....!! But I've entered them!!
Boh!! I've tried the same procedure in 3 different PCs with the same
results!! I'm very sad.

Are the fields blank, or are they just not displayed?

For example, does it say "Director: " or just have no director field? I would expect the Plot field to be displayed, however. Have you tried a different skin? What skin are you using currently? Usually it is best to check BlueTwo, as it is often the most up to date.

hi jawbroken,
Mp display correctly the field label "Director:" but not the field value.
This happens for some fields like Tagline, Plot, Director, Ratings.
I use Blue2 skin and today I've tried Project Mayhem III but with the
same error.
Thanks for your help.

Ok. I assume that nobody can (want) help me. :(
I give up and will continue to use Meedio.
Even if Meedio is not developed anymore, ....the support is great.
Bye.

sorry, couldn't help it.

I will look carefully into your problem next week and see if this a bug. I'll keep you posted but, the other way round, tell me if you're able to solve this issue in the meantime.

...AND STOP WHINING
