Hello

I hope someone can help me here, i'm seeing a duplication of the movie every time I add a new one

I think I know the reason but not sure how to fix it

I have my main MediaPortal Machine in the living room and a Client in the bedroom, both have MP\Moving Pictures installed and i'm sharing the DB\Thumbs path set in the MediaPortalDirs.xml file

<!-- The Path for the databases -->
<Dir id = "Database">
<Path>\\SERVER\MP\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Database\</Path>
</Dir>
<!-- The Path for the Thumbs, like Music Cover Art, TV Logos, etc. -->
<Dir id = "Thumbs">
<Path>\\SERVER\MP\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Thumbs\</Path>

Its all works great and I think its because the bedroom machine and living room machine see a new file and then both import it and that's why I have a duplication every time

how do I stop one from auto importing? I cant find the setting :(

Can someone help?

Cheers

    Moving Pictures is not designed to have centralized database. You can have separate databases on each client and sync watched status using trakt plugin

    Thanks for the reply Edalex, i'll look into setting up trakt

    So there's no way to stop Moving Pictures from automatically seeing new files and adding them?

    Just remove all the import scripts, then MovPic has nothing to use when trying to add the movie.

    Or adjust the noise filter to an extreme in that it also kills the title itself.

    Looking at existing solutions -- such as MPSync -- might be much easier though.
