Your last log file with the exception at the end is definitely strange. It almost looks like some sort of internal .NET runtime error. But this exception is occurring after you have shut down the plugin. I'd like to take a look at your mediaportal.log file as well so if you could post a new movingpictures.log along with a matching mediaportal.log file that would be perfect. However I don't think it has anything to do with your movie not importing. So let's set it aside for a moment. As for your video not being imported, there are a few things that could be going on:

The most likely cause is that it has already been imported in the past. Are you certain it's not in your existing movie list and you just did not notice?
A second possibility is that you may have clicked the ignore button for the file in the Importer or the Movie Manager. You can unignore all files you've ignored in the past to check for this. It is option under the gear button on the Importer dialog.
A third possibility is that the file you are trying to import has an unsupported file extension. Is the file named something odd like ironman2.divx?
Finally the file may be locked (although I would expect to see this mentioned in the log file, which I do not...) This could be caused by another program with the file open such as VLC or uTorrent.
Do any of these possibilities sound like what may be going on for you?
