Movie/Video Plugin without Internet Database search? Just Filename? (1 Viewer)

I am looking for a plugin which writes just the filenames into the movie database and creates a thumbnail.
No Internet research, no nothing.
Is there something similar available?
When I use "moving pictures" or the stock video plugin, most of the movies (recordings from DVB-Viewer, etc..), are not even recognized or appear with wrong title.
And I don't want to correct everything by hand.
I had a short look at "myfilms" plugin, but found it way too complicated..:(

If you only want the name and a thumbnail (created from the content), you don't need the database/

Thumbnail - in Config, within the GUI drop down -> Thumbs, then select away:)

If by Thumb, you mean 'cover' then that will have to come from somewhere, to get that displayed instead, you simply need a jpg or png in same directory of same name ie

    "A very boring film.avi"
    "A very boring film.jpg"

Will give a boring cover for boring film, usable using just the Videos plugin.

    Hope that helps.

A thumbnail, created from the content would be fine.
But without the use of a database, the movies won't show up
    in the webgui of "WebMediaPortal".
I only use the Webgui+MPExtended, because of the streaming function, not the Mediaportal client (where this is possible).
A simple list from the content of my Video folder, with small thumbs would be enough.

Ah, then the it may be possible via a custom scraper, they just returns null data to the DB and does not bother tasking Internet, but I've no idea how to progress that one.

    Good luck - JCMP
