Hi there,

does anybody know if it's possible to move the standard databases for music and video and the MovingPictures-plugin to a different location (different hard drive or partition)
If so. How?

There's an option for the myTVSeries plugin to move the database, but I couldn't find such an option for the other databases.

On easy way for internal video and music db no.
You can look at MediaPortalDirs.xml file (In MP program directory) but be careful what you' re doing as MP can stop working. Personally I didn't mess with it, but as I looked into code which read that file it should be possible to change those locations by changing xml node <Path>%ProgramData%\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Database\</Path>.

Also this path is not only for MP databases, other plugins uses that.

    Thanks Deda,

that was, what I was looking for.
Doesn't sound too easy - I think I'll try that in a virtual machne.

    Thank you.
