Moving Pictures Freezes with Dual View (1 Viewer)

I have just been introduced to Media Portal and Moving Pictures.

I have Dual View set up. When I go full screen with Moving Pictures, Media Portal hangs. If i am in 'Clone' mode, then It locks everything up and I can't do anything.

If i am in Dual Mode and have 2 different desktops set up I can kill Media Portal.


I have not tested this extensively but other features in Media Portal work in full screen for me. But as soon as I enter into Moving Pictures it locks up.

If i use a single monitor set up it is fine. ( However because of some extensive issues I must run it in dual , either clone or dual view )

I would appreciate it if somebody who has seen this issue or can make some suggestions would give me a hand. I have tried searching for issues.. and have gotten fairly far tonight. But I can't get past this.

dunno if I can help, just a thought I had - you say MediaPortal 'hangs' if you 'go full screen with Moving Pictures'; are you typically using 'windowed' mode, and then going to fullscreen when watching a movie? Perhaps it's this switch from windowed to full screen that's causing problems. Have you tried using MediaPortal always in 'fullscreen' then going to Moving Pictures and trying a movie (so there's no 'switch' between window/fullscreen modes)?

All I can say is, I've been using a DualView setup with MediaPortal (MP setup on secondary screen, always open in 'fullscreen' mode) for a couple of years and haven't had a problem .
