I am using a Buffalo Flexnet NAS drive hooked up as a USB. Using Media Portal's Video directory, it can pick up all of the movies stored on it and play them. When I point to this directory (c:/movies) in Moving Pictures it wont import the files (just sits there blank). However point the Moving Pictures to the internal HDD (f:/movies) and it loads them fine. Any ideas?

So your saying the C: drive is the external and F: is the internal? Thats kinda odd to have C: be an external drive.

Yes, I know. I formatted and reloaded Windows XP over the weekend to start with a fresh install as I do from time to time. The install assigned the HDD F: and the external NAS drive C: upon hook up. I haven't bothered to go in and change the assignment as it really doesnt matter...however is confusing in this case when I have to describe it :)

I had a similar problem recently, so just in case try going to a command prompt and see if
    Code:
    vol c:
returns a valid serial number or just zeros.

If it's a valid serial (I hope so) then it's not the same as my problem :).
