Movingpictures slower than other plugins with coverflow (1 Viewer)

hi guys,

I want to report that in my case, scrolling between movies in coverflow is not that smooth as in other plugins like in showtimes and myemulators..

Also when I enter a genre with only 2 or 3 movies inside everything isn't smooth.. it's also not very stuttering, but what I say: Also not very smooth..

Can you guys confirm this?

I'm using Mediaportal 1.2.0 beta, with the latest streamedMP skin and the latest plugin version..

I have the solution found for fhis problem:

In advanced settings, I have changed the timings of a few things under; "Tweaks"

-Artwork loading delay from 250 to 750
-Details loading delay from 250 to 750
-category random Artwork Refresh Interval from 120 to 360.

Now finally everything is smooth!!

This issue seems to be the same as I always have had with filmstrip view. Your suggestions do get things better but for some reasons never as smooth as filmstrip/coverflow in for example Trakt or TV series. There it has always been very smooth for me. I'm not sure why since the amount of movie details are the the same in trakt and the artwork seems to have same resolution.

So it helps, but not much? Maybe you have to set the timings higher than me.. By example 1500 for the first 2 and 700 by the last one..

I had also the samed problem with filmstrip view.. That problem is for me also solved now..

For some plugins works coverflow like a charm with default settings, others not.. Myemulators by example is very smooth.. And tv series also..

I can't believe what I hear... MovingPictures is the fastest and smoothest Coverflow Plugin I have installed. And TVSeries is the worst on this purpose. It lasts until eternity before I can start scrolling. And then every now and then the scrolling stops and needs to be restart after some seconds (up to a minute or so...)

I'm using latest versions of both TVSeries and MovingPictures. And I'm on 1.2 SVN (near to 1.2 RC, I Think)

Maybe it's something about the Database. I have more than 1.000 Movies in MovPic and more than 10.000 Episodes in TVSeries. But I believe this is due the fact every now and then I recreate MovPic DB from Scratch as I have all data stored in .nfo Files near the Videos. Rebuild the DB last not longer as 10 Minutes. In TVSeries that can't be done as I don't have a reliable internet connection and I can't store data local for this plugin..

Always strange if some people have probles, and other have not..

For me are all plugins that supporting coverflow very smooth.. included movingpictures and tv series.. Also with large lists.. By example, when I go into moving pictures, and start "all movies" with 70 movies, everything is fine..

Maybe the problem is solved in version 1.2.0 rc like RoChess said in post #3.
