well it's not so much updating as deploy tool uninstalls the old version first, I have also reinstalled windows to get a fresh start and the problem persists
Hi,
rolls1400, you have to make new logs the one you have there doesn't contain anything, not even in event log. So start MediaPortal get the crash & collect logs with MPTestTool & "Perform actions necessary after testing".
lokeynz, you have a missing "GlobalCatchKeys.dll" which crashes your setup, not sure where that comes from but know that one more have seen this.
Well i tried again and am unable to generate an error log. Are some of the form buttons supposed to be grayed out like this(see jpg)? No matter what I do they are inactive. thanks for the help
I had a nicely running Media Portal 0.2.3.0 with TV Engine 3, build 18550 but saw the RC1.
I thought this might solve a little issue with TV play jumping back 1 minute every so often.
I did a full uninstall of Media Portal and TV Engine from Vista 32 control panel, deleted the two TV database file in the SQL Server directory then installed RC1. No problems setting everything back up again and scanning on my Nova-T-500 DVB-T card. As soon as I started media portal it crashed.
here are the log files..
I also am unable to start MP 1.0.0.0 RC1 on my XP Home machine, "MP Crashed unexpectedly". Hopefully someone can make sense of the attached logs from Test Tool.
Note, I have also been unable to get 0.2.3 working on this particular machine after several attempts, hence the upgrade to 1.0.0.0.
The specs are: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual 4200+, ASUS M2A-VM HDMI, 1GB Memory, 256MB used by the integrated ATI Radeon X1250. 300GB HDD, 159GB free. No TV card or other graphics cards.
