MP 1.0.2 client "unable to play: stream1.0 Audio codec:"

This may be a ghost of purposes past. The PC that has served as my HTPC for about three years has now become a client.

The new HTPC is working flawlessly, but the old one (in its new role as a client) isn't. When I try to play live TV I get "unable to play: stream1.0 Audio codec:" ... trying to play a recording receives a similar message (with the filename instead of stream1.0).

I've searched (the forum and Google), but nothing I've come across has helped me. The first hint I got was to turn off subtitles (none were turned on) the second was to start with a fresh install (I didn't touch the server as that's running fine and SWMBO would kill me if I took the HTPC offline) ... I tried doing a "remove all traces" uninstall on the client and reinstalling - same issue.

I had a client working when I was running 1.0.0, and I don't think I've missed any installation steps.

Logs from the client attached ... if required I'll see if I can get access to the server for long enough to grab logs from it.

:D

I had this problem too, for me changing the port of the streaming server solved it.
