Hey guys,

MediaPortal doesn't work right on my new HTPC which does video through HDMI at 1080p24 and audio through SPDIF (AC3/DTS passthrough). I installed a fresh Windows Vista and installed the chipset driver (GPU, lan etc). After that i ran Windows Update until SP1 was installed. Then I installed AC3Filter, CoreAVC 1.7 with Haali Mediasplitter, VSFilter and MPC.

Everything works fine with MediaPlayer Classic.

Then I installed MediaPortal 1.0 RC2 and that works fine until I start a .mkv. After a few secs the movie will start stuttering and skipping and looping 5 frames at a time. When I then go back to the MediaPortal interface it's all screwed up with black parts, buttons overlapping and words missing.

Do you guys know what is causing this? I love MediaPortal so I'm gutted ):

Oh yeah I also have a brightness/gamma problem where the brightness is too high in MPC and MP but is correct in Windows MCE. Anyone know a fix for that by any chance?

Thnx!

Reinier
