As as side note, 1.0.2 is not officially supported on Windows 7. It might work on some setups and not on some other use cases.

I installed Windows 7 and Mediaportal 1.0.2 last weekend. Still tweaking it but everything appears to work.

One annoyance I am seeing is that when I start playing a movie, it wants to run Windows Media Player for some reason. Trying to figure why it keeps doing this as I type.
