Dear Everybody,

I have a stable and working solution with a MP 1.0.2 Client based on Vista32 accessing a stable MP 1.0.2 TV server based on XP32.

I am about to try MP 1.1. Alpha on another client with Win7 RC1. Any known problems accessing the MP 1.0.2 Server with MP 1.1 ALPHA ?

    Hi,
Both server & client should be same version & not mixed.

This I understand and it would always be the preferred solution. ;-)

I just want to try out the new 1.1 without setting up a second server with 1.1., as well.
MP 1.0.2.0 is actually my productive system.
Maybe someone has found that this works for a general trial

    i just tested this here

its working after a clean uninstall from 102 and install 110

before the mp config crashed for some reason ...

tested on a vista x64 system mp 1.1.0 connecting to mp 1.0.2 vista x64 tvserver

Yes, it is working but, you have to change some things at many places in MP code before.
But, better for you, I suppose, is waiting until 28 august (or some date approaching) to really use MP 1.1.
And, as your system is working fine on MP 1.0.2 then, why trying it ?
Just be patient or, prefer testing MP 1.1 as a single-seat in your Win7 RC1 PC maybe could do the trick.

    :D

    Thanks folks,
I was sure. someone has tried it already.
Single set is another option (I honestly didn't think of first place).
