MP 1.1 RC2 good ? (1 Viewer)

Hello!

I need your information about the latest RC2 release of Media Portal. Is it stable and workig good with TV and movies?
Or shuld i contiue to use 1.02 until the final version? Im planing in upgrade to Windows 7 and to RC2 of Media Portal

Tell me what you think and the biggest problem if i use RC2.

1.02 is too far away for me to remember how stable it was, however RC2 is a good option specially if you are going for windows 7

If you have a stable everyday htpc, then keep it atm.

Reasons for saying this are mainly due to some incompatibility between MPRC2 and plugins, RC3 and the plugin devs hopefully will overcome these issues and we will be a lot closer to MP1.0 final.

Think you will be impressed with the ease of setting up, when you decide to update

Sounds great, then i wait for the RC3 version before installing a newer version. Today i have a TVserver and 3 clients and it works good.
But i want to have some of the new updates that is made.

I a, on 1.01 and it is stable so avoided change how much effort is it to upgrade is it a clean install or can you install over the top with RC2/3?

Read Home page news, as RC3 should be within the month (fingers crossed, no pressure guys ), the bugs will be ironed out by then and compatibility restored by the most popular\maintained plugins.

Hopefully the upgrade version will be there and the issues found by users, will have been corrected.

So its just a case of being patient

Yes, but RC3 will raise new bugs or regression as always, but keep faith and salute the great effort made to accomplish a very very nice freeware.

The blog on the front page suggest RC3 is out but I can't find it to download all links keep taking me to RC2
