MP 1.16 Installation failure due to Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 ATL Security (1 Viewer)

While Installing the MP 1.16 I face this error:
Some Components are missing on your system to install mediaportal please install the following components:
-Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Service Pack 1 REdistributable package ATL Security Update
Installation will be canceled

Although it is already installed on my machine both the x86 & the 64 bit versions.

this problem never occurs while installing 1.15.
please help me.

Hello

I suggest to try reinstalling/repairing the VC++ 2008 redistributable.

In the past I've helped people who reported the same as you. After reinstalling the VC++ component, the problem was solved.

Im sorry that I didn't mention that I have repaired the package and restarted the Pc several times. And by the way this issuue appears in the 1.16 setup. I have reinstalled v 1.15 with no problems.

So you reinstalled/repaired the ATL security update package (second link) as well?

The installer is looking for the following files to confirm that the VC++ 2008 redist + ATL update are installed:

([Windows directory] is usually c:\Windows)

I note that this check has not changed between MP 1.15 and 1.16.

Yes, you are correct, it seems that my system is missing some of the files. I have downloaded the ATL Security update and it fails with the error:

VC Libraries QFE Patch does not apply, or is blocked by another condition on your system. Please click the link below for more details.

I have search the web for this error and didn't find actual solution.

Firstly: I have double checked the links that you have sent me earlier, and they are both installed.
Secondly: I have run the update that I have got for the VC++ 2008 SP and got the same error, the link is the following:

which does not include any information about this error.

If they were installed properly, you'd have the files. Therefore something is not right. Either they're not installed, or they're not installed properly.

Please provide a screenshot showing the list of installed versions of VC++ redistributable.

Thanks it works. as you told me before I have done I have removed the vc++ sp1 & ALT package also, then installed them again.
