    MP1 Version
MP1.28 pre installed without problems along side an MP2 test version but when I attempted to scan for TV channels it did not find anything and does not seem to have tried all the frequencies, see attached screenshot (also tried all regions but same result).
I then unistalled MP2 rebooted but still got the same result. I then uninstalled 1.28pre, deleted all MP folders and uninstalled MYSQL and deleted all it folders. Rebooted and reinstalled 1.28 but still the same result, log for this new install is attached.

log for this new install is attached.
The zip file does not contain any Tv Server log files.
The file "system_eventlog.csv" has 6 lines that mention "TvService", but 3 of the lines are like this:

"13/05/2021 15:49:52";"Service Control Manager";"(0)";"Error";"The TVService service depends on the Netman service which failed to start because of the following error: %%1068";"3221232473"

I regret that I don't know what that means. :(

Edit: I used the installer from this post.

I have just installed MP 1.28p over a copy of my production system (MP 1.27f) running on Windows 7 Home Premium:
    • The install proceeded without problem. (y)
    • I could display the EPG and view live TV. (y)
    • I could not scan for channels in "TV Server Config". (n)
    This is the "SetupTv.log":

Does anyone know if anything has changed in "TV Server" or "TV Server Config"?

Hello. I also have the usual problem, I can't scan the channels of Mediaportal tv-server V1.28 Pre-release.

This cause of this problem has been identified, and a solution is being developed for MP 1.28f.

The only workaround is not to scan using MP 1.28p, but instead to export your channel list from MP 1.27f (or an older version of MP), and import that channel list into MP 1.28p. Unfortunately this means that you will not be able to tune any new channels that have been introduced recently by your TV providers. :(

Thanks for the reply. Can you tell me when is v1.28f expected to be released?

I think that the convention is for the final release to be around 4 weeks after the pre-release, but this timetable is not rigid, so the final release might be earlier or later. If you still have your MP 1.27f (or older) installation available, you perhaps should continue using that until MP 1.28f is released.
