MP 1.3.0 HELP................ (1 Viewer)

Hi, I have just done a clean install of 1.3.0 as I thought that it would be better than upgrading 1.2.3, but unfortunately it has all gone very badly. This is the first time I have upgraded versions and had a problem and am on the verge of going back to 1.2.3.

My MCE remote doesn't work properly, previous button etc doesn't work and having all sorts of problems navigating the menus, just can't get it to go back to the Home screen.

After initially setting up Mp TV Series plug-in it won't run and just locks up, can't even get into the config screen. I would post my log files but can't seem to find it either.

Any help would be appreciated, as I would love to get this working but fear I will be moving back

Someone else had same issue. I remember reading that during upgrade from mp 1.2.3 to 1.3 the remote control mappings are not updated and they get wiped. Check all the settings under remotes in MP Config.

Thanks for that, I actualled fully uninstalled 1.2.3 before installing 1.3.0. I have set the MCE remote up in configuration but every time I go back in it has lost its settings

Did you manually copy the old mceremote.xml over, or anything funny like that?

Try running MP Config in administrator mode, does that make the settings stick?

Also - try making copy of keymap.xml (by hand) when it's "happy" , then do a restart - see if the 'current' is the same as your copy - if not, does the system have a backup and it's resetting you changes back to backup copy - and as above, log files

Hi, thanks for all the advice, I have now got the remote working somewhat as it did in 1.2.3. Issues are that from a fresh install all my skins, Titan & Default Wide are both giving a error message that they are unsupported. When it loads up, I get get TV Series working but moving pictures is an error message and Videos, Pictures and Music will not display the folders but they show as mapped in Configuration.

I have attached the log file in hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I should look at the log before I posted. I do not understand how, as I did a full uninstall of 1.2.3 and installed 1.3.0 but I seem to have ended with a combination of the two. The boot screen tells me I am still at 1.2.3. Looks like next weekend will be a rebuild of the PC and a full reinstall of windows and MP. Sorry to be troubling everyone.

No trouble. Before you rebuild - look at backup plugin

or back up files by hand - I only have a few TV/Radio stations, so I use manual method.
