[solved] MP 1.38 crashes with video play after updating from 1.37 to 1.38 (1 Viewer)

I just updated from 1.37 to 1.38. MediaPortal 1.38 exits abruptly when stopping video playback. I did three tests;

• Debug with Titan: Music has no errors, TVRecordings and live TV have no errors. MyVideo playback plays the movie fine, but when stopped, MP disappears.
• With plugins in DefaultWideHD, TVRecordings and live TV have no errors. TVSeries playback plays the episode fine, but when stopped, MP disappears.
• Again in DefaultWideHD. MovingPictures plays the movie fine, but when stopped, MP disappears.

Earlier, before testing, TVSeries and MotionPictures did not play the files, MP exited abruptly. MP had played a movie in MyVideos fine, but when stopping the movie, MP disappeared.

Issues are resolved when restoring MP 1.37. Additionally, I made several attempts at installing 1.38 with the same result.

I'm using DefaultWideHD with a 1.37 - 1.38 upgrade and I cannot reproduce your problem with MyVideos. I have tried several different vid. formats including 4k HDR and BD .iso (native win 11 mounted) all play fine and return to MP on stop. Tried with both EVR and MadVR both OK. I do not have TV Series or Moving Pictures installed on the PC with MP 1.38 so unable to confirm using those plugins.

I have 2 identical build computers, one for single seat w/TV server and the other for a client. Both have the issue with 1.38, both resolved with reinstall of 1.37.

Win 11 Home (with recent updates),
64 bit 12th gen i5,
32 GB RAM,
128 MB Intel UHD Graphics 770,
28.2 TB storage (15.41 TB used)

I noticed at least one other user also has the issue.

After updating to 1.38 MediaPortal, it immediately closed when trying to play a video.

Just a note,
on fresh install of mp 1.38 on win 11 home.
same as all when play video file ,mp play the file but when stop mp close.

but when i play same movie with option of "use external player.... " all play correct and when stop the movie mp not close , work as normal.

I think it's the same problem with dependencies.
I had a similar problem with 1.37, it also complained about MSVCP140.dll and Mediaportal closed.
After I updated VC Redistr 2015-2022 the problem went away.

Perhaps the problem is not in the Media Portal at all, but, for example, in LAV Filters, which requires new dependencies. Or in some Direct X, Sharp DX part of the libraries.
