MP 1.6.0 will not mount .iso file (1 Viewer)

Hi, I have just upgraded from MP 1.2.2 to MP 1.6.0 and I have resolved some of the issues myself like the IR Remote stopped working but this problem I cannot fix. I was running Daemon Tools Lite on MP 1.2.2 and most of the time it did work but I did get the time out message "...wait another 60 seconds" regularly . After the upgrade to MP 1.6.0 Daemon Tools lite gave the "mount switch sytax error" and would not work. I can manually mount the iso so Daemon Tools does work - I tried both SCSI and DT drive types. I then upgraded Daemon Tools to the latest version and it still did not work. I read on the forum that Virtual CloneDrive was the other option. I removed Daemon tools and installed Virtual CloneDrive and the problem still exists. I can again manually mount the iso and when I go to MP and play the video (and any other iso video) it will only play the original manually loaded iso and no others. If I try to play a video iso without manually mounting it I get the do you want to wait for another 60 seconds message (this message appears after about 10 seconds). I had trouble with older versions of DT/VCD. I now use DT Lite 4.40.2.0131 with SCSI drive type. Works for me.

I was running DTL V4.45... (from memory) and have also tried DTL V4.48... so do you think I should downgrade to DTL V4.40.2.0131? Are you also suggesting that only certain versions of DTL will only work with MP? Also I am finding it hard to find that old version on the Internet so could you please put in on sendspace.com or dropbox for me?

You shouldn't need to. I'll double check that it works tonight. Haven't played an ISO for awhile.

Yes. For various reasons I think you'll find that contemporary versions work. In other words, the version of DT that was current at the time a given version of MP was released should work.

I'll see if I have it... but really, you shouldn't have to resort to a "magic" version. It should just work. Might pay to install the latest version and post your log files with that.

Hi all, I have got it working with Virtual CloneDrive - I had the incorrect .exe and I had to use vcd as the drive type in the MP config (correct setting below):

The only issue now is that it takes about 5min to load and start the video - but don't get any error message or time out I just have to wait. Any ideas now?

I removed VCD and installed the latest version of DTL (4.48.*) and now it works fine.
I am not sure why it worked this time as did all that before but now it works so thanks to those who helped.
