MP 1.7.1 TV menu not working (1 Viewer)

Hi Folks,

This is my first post on this forum so I appologize in advance if this topic has been covered already.
I recently installed MP 1.7.1 on a Win 7 32 bit machine.
One of my primary goals is to view/record TV through MP
I have Comcast TV serivce and an HDHomerun Prime cablecard tuner (with 3 tuners)
I have used this setup with WMC for a few years and it has generally worked well

I was able to set up the MP TVserver to the extent that it sees all 3 tuners, has scanned all channels for those tuners and I can preview channels within the MP TV configuration tool.

The problem I am having is when I go into the MP GUI and I select the TV icon. It shows me a menu of items (TV, record....) but it will not allow me to select any of the items. I should be able to select TV to watch live TV but the moment I try to move the cursor to select an item the menu closes.

I looked at the logs and did not see any obvious errors so I thought I would post this question thinking I must have missed something simple.

Sounds like you're attempting to use Titan (the default skin) with a mouse. Titan doesn't handle mouse support very well. You'd be better off with a different skin - for example the DefaultWide skin.

Skins can be downloaded using the MediaPortal Extension Installer. Link on your desktop and/or in the Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal folder in your start menu.

Thank you very much for your quick reply.

Yes, I am using Titan and a mouse. Great news if that is all that I am doing wrong.
I will take your adivce and load a new skin.
I am looking forward to getting MP fully set up and working on my HTPC
