MP 1 RC3 is minimized when playing Divx (1 Viewer)

Hi all,

Has anyone noticed that MP minimizes the first time a divx video is played? When I then maximize MP and restart the video I get the video fullscreen, but the first time always fails.

Furthermore, when the video is shown (the second time) the video player doesn't have focus so none f my commands work until I click the screen with my mouse.

Has anyone else encountered this?

This is already know about, make sure the Divx systray manager is removed.

I tried the utility that you linked to - but that did not resolve the problem for me. Consistently, every second execution of an AVI file resulted in RC3 minimizing. I reached the conclusion that the DivX codec was always being used rather than my preferred XVid codec. In the end, I just un-installed the DivX codec and the problem went away. Of course, if I ever need the DivX codec again I will be back to the same problem.

I've also experimented problems with Divx.

Disabling de Divx icon in the system bar in the configuration didn't work. Once the film started, in the second try, the remote didn't work anymore, I couldn't even power off the mediacenter. I had to reset it.

Finally, I changed again to Koepi's Xvid.

I decided to test Divx due to the "washed blacks" I was watching. I tought it was a codec problem, but now I've seen is a matter of colorspace. But that's another story...
