Windows Version: XP SP2
CPU Type: Athlon 2800+ Barton
HDD: Seagate SATA 250GB 16MB cache

Motherboard Chipset: nForce2
Video Card: Leadtek A6600TDH 256MB
Video Card Driver: nVidia 81.98 or 93.47
Sound Card AC3: Terratec Aureon Fun 5.1
1. TV Card: Kworld DVB-T 100
TV: Sony Wega 4:3 CRT
TV - HTPC Connection: s-video

Sooo, that's the configuration. I'm having some problems with Dualview (and didn't find anything related and solved) : it works perfectly with standard Leadtek drivers (very old), and with 81.98 from nVidia, but not with newer versions, like 93.47. No matter how I configure output options in nVidia control panel, I can't get MP in full screen on TV while all other players (PowerDVD, WinDVD, GOM player, BSplayer) show video properly: player and controls on monitor, and fullscreen video on TV. When switching to fullscreen MP always comes back to primary monitor, even when I drag it to secondary (TV) then switch to fullscreen. After changing back to 81.98 everything works perfect, and it's all the same with MP 0.2.0.0. and 0.2.1.0. Strange. But, even when it works I'm wondering is it possible to have MP only on TV because dualview is not so functional this way: when minimised on monitor, TV picture freezes nad offcourse it's out of focus and is impossible to remote control it.

Speaking of remote controlling, didn't have any luck configuring standard Kworld remote, so in next few days I'll get me a new one: http://www.xoxide.com/vlsystem-mplay-mini.html . I can get it real cheap, and should work good with MP, right?

I am also having identical problems of this type. They started when I upgraded to the latest NVidia 93.71 driver. Reverting back to the version 70 driver got Dualview working again.

Hi - I mean the release 70 drivers (70.XX). I skipped the release 80.XX drivers and recently tried 90.XX. The problem I had was that mP would no longer appear on the TV correctly (but other applications such as Mediplayer would). The problem involved screen corruptions and MP appearing non-full screen in the corner of the TV screen. Couldn't use MP any more on the TV (appeared fine on the PC), so had to revert to the release 70.XX drivers.

well you could try with 81.98, as they work for me but with 90.xx we share the same problems :( . but is nVidia to blame, or MP... I think MP

and i came to conclusion: the only way to have MP only on TV sreen is to over-zoom it, drag MP on TV and maximize MP window, not to use fullscreen

hello

any news regarding this problem with Dualview? it's still not fixed in version 0.2.2.0.

I read somewhere that newer nVidia drivers allow other players to use hardware acceleration&stuff just like PureVideo does... but what's the use if MP won't work like it should

    Hi,

Windows XP limits DX Hardware Acceleration to the primary screen only. Check the forum, it is in there loads of times. So MP will not work properly on the 2nd screen. Maybe the new driver is smarter and puts any prog that requires HW Acceleration on the primary screen. There once was a plugin that exchanged primary & secondary every time MP was set to go fullscreen, may you want to check.

Since DirectX 8 any display should be able to get accelerated.. if the hardware supports it.

Try the patch / installer posted in the following thread.
It enables you to configure on witch screen to start MP (with DirectX acceleration).
Also adds support startup parameters for /screen=1 /skin="BlueTwo Wide"

Replies to this post please in the thread the patch is posted.
[patch] Choose the screen in which MP will start (fullscreen or window)
