in MP 1.0 it was working even under Win 7.

100% same problem as described in the first post.
I miss the custom step size, it worked perfectly, I used XP and MP1.0 , with later version the custom step size option disappeared. - even tho I still use XP.
Prettyplease, some dev, open up for custom step size.

I got the custom step size enabled again, I don't know how - but I am glad it's back.

Yes this a desperate plea to the devs, the volume control in Vista has too little steps and you can't change to custom ones. (1.2beta)

GBPVR/NPVR etc seems to work with small increments in vista/7 so it cant just be an OS limitation.

Does anyone have a work around to get the custom step size working in 1.2beta?

Yep that's exactly what I need, but I fear that creating a custom build may be beyond me. Is it difficult? And if not, any hints on where to start or who could help me?

Also getting this problem. Lowest volume setting is too low on Vista.

MP should really have internal volume calculations. Surely it is just muliplying one number by another? The OS doesn't need to know what volume control setting the MP application has internally. Presumably now it works by controlling the OS-level per-app volume slider.

Whatever it is doing it is causing problems and is not a correct approach.

Is there improvement in the 1.2RC?
