All of a sudden it seems impossible for remote MP client to connect to my TVServer.
Don't know if this is relevant but when starting MP and "loading windows plugins" seems to hang forever, I know i'm in for trouble... :(
Using MP on the server works fine, but not on any clients.
The local Mediaportal log file may have some clues, but I need help to decifer it:

    Hi,
All logs would be a step in correct direction(not parts of it) ;)
Check that in MP Config -> Television -> TV CLient & that hostname it's correct, try also to disable firewall on both server & client to rule out that too.

    Regards
    Roy

I have now tried to change the tv server host name to its ip adress and rebooted the server.
The firewalls on server and clients are untouched for now.
Now I get the MP clients to connect to the TV server on all but one...
So its a partly success. I've included the complete log from the last client this time if it helps.

    Hi,
You did update all clients so use same version as TV Server, if not that will be a huge problem(log shows version 1.0.0.0 RC3)?

I may have a version conflict on this problem pc (Vista).
The strange thing is even if I uninstall all MP stuff and reboots before I do a new fresh install with the final version, it still comes up with 1.0.0.0. RC3 in the startup splash screen....
There must be some hidden stuff somewhere that still tricks me.
Have only seen this on Vista, never on XP.

    Hi there

I am not using Vista atm, but it may be related to Vista's virtual store.

If there is a MediaPortal directory in there then you can try to delete the contents. Make a backup first, just in case...

Please report back with your findings.
