Had to do a reload so uninstalled MP, TV3, TV Plugin and deleted the database.
re-installed TV3 and its config ran fine
re-installed MP, canceled auto launch of config
installed TV Plugin
Ran Config for MP and it crashes with:
Code:

Fixed by using the svn. Hope the svn doesn't have too many crash bugs :)

Well mines similar
media portal was working.
but i changed hardware, added sound card for spdif digital sound.
changed my dvd software to windvd9 from power dvd, and GOM from VLC probably changed every setting for sound available everywhere on the computer to make Gom and Windvd and MCE play digital surround, rather than process to stereo only.
tried configuration of 0.2.3.0 final and it crashed. so uninstalled and reinstalled same install 0.2.3.0
and it crashes every time at the auto launch of config

Is the Mediaportal.xml being deleted on uninstall, if not remove it manually from c:\program files\team-mediaportal\mediaportal.

first, thank you for the help.

i tried uninstalling. and deleting the folder. i didn't find mediaportal.xml
reinstalling still failed when configuration started opening. it failed at "filters"

i uninstalled again and tried installing to a different directory, same issue.
so i tried something different. i uninstalled it.
and installed it to the default location again.
then deleted the folder and replaced it with the team mediaportal folder from my other computer
after doing configuration on it. I didn't get everything working. but media portal now opens, and plays dvd's but still crashes on configuration.

it always opens configuration window splash screen ... as it starts to load
and always gets to filters then crashes.
I had real issues with powerdvd. it wouldn't uninstall and had to be deleted manually. maybe leftover powerdvd filters or something still hidden away somewhere?
