Hello.
I have videos in MKV format - it is standard XVid + two audio tracks - one AC3 and second is in MP3 format.
mkv-file.png

When i switch between two audio tracks in MP, MP stop to responze - freeze.

Im am try it on MP RC2 and on latest build.

I try MPA and FFDshow audio decoder - same result.

When playing this video in MPC HC, all works great.

I have another MKV with 2 audio tracks, but these tracks are in MP3 and there are not problem, so it could be AC3->MP3 switching problem.

    Hi,
Well sample plays fine here using hali splitter & ffdshow (see that ffdshow filter it's selected automatic for this movie), switches Between all audio tracks also work fine, so could be a codec problem.

Edit: saw that you replyed while i was typing, so maybe update codecs could do the trick, dunno what codecs you use on vista but i use Vista Codecs pack.

    Regards
    Roy
