Hi everyone, I'm having some problem that seems to be similar to a know issue "690G/X1250 Chipset". However, I did not had problems with the previous version of MP (.32 or something like that).

The problem:
MP installs ok. The instalation setting is with no TV function.
When MP starts the first time all I see is the configuration window and a MP crash report window.
The configuration windows seems ok, I can click and change stuff, it is visible.
Then I close everything.
When I click to open MP shortcut, it loads the MP splash window ok, but after that, all I can see is the border of the MP window. I can also see the menu with "File","Open, and "Wizard", when I click on them, nothing seems to work except "Exit".
As you will see, this computer is very old, but has just received a clean install. It does not meet some requirements (CPU is 1.3 instead of 1.4 minimum) , however, I remember installing .2.3 for a few days and working ok; but that was a very very long time ago. I think everything else required for the installation is in order.

I would like to know if there is something that is wrong (software), or if I should just give up because of its old hardware. It's an HP Pavilion 512x, if that helps. I just wanted to hook it up so my mom, who is not tech-savy, can use the simple menu to browse videos, music and youtube on the TV.

That will be the problem, you do need a graphics card that does support DX9, ie Nvidia FX5200, ATI 9600 onwards, preferably with at least 128Mb of memory.

Your CPU will not be the problem, it is still fast enough for MP.
I use a Via Epia C7D with 1.5GHz which is definitly slower than your Celeron and MP works well meanwhile without any performance issues.
