    Hi,

I have random crashes during DVD Playback with PowerDVD 9 (latest Version).
I'm using PowerDVD as an external Player in MP.
Sometimes during the DVD Playback MP crashes in the Background.
I have already tried to disable all Plugins, but without success.
The crashes appers to be random, sometimes no problems and sometimes after one minute...

    Edit:
Same problem with Total Media Theatre

It seems no team member can reproduce your issue. However random crashes (buffer overflow exception in your case) are often hard to reproduce.

There have been numerous bug fixes in RC2 that caused buffer overflow exceptions and crashes in general in RC1, but it is hard to know if you issue was caused by one of the fixed bugs. Please test again as soon as RC2 is out and report this issue again if it persists. Hopefully this time it will be easier to track down since most of the other crashes should be fixed.

May I ask why you even use PowerDVD as external player?

You have W7, you just need to use its codecs for DVD.
If you want to use PDVD for some reason, just select their codecs for video/audio and the PDVD navigator filter.

That way the whole HTPC experience will be a lot smoother since you dont exit one app and go to an other.
Imo. the whole external player support in current MP is quite pointless.
