I have a new HTPC I built two days ago. i5-6500 with an GA-170X-Gaming 7 (the motherboard supports HDMI 2.0) and 16 GB of DDR4. It is using the HD 530 built into the CPU. I am using the latest 1.14 Pre. So far the troubles have only arose during 3840x2160 @ 60hz playback.

It seems it likes to crash randomly during playback. Also, and this probably has NOTHING to do with MP, but DXVA2 and QuickSync hardware acceleration in LAV are also not working, so when MP is crashing I am using software decoding, but my CPU never breaches 70%.

    Included are watchdog logs

I am going to play some HD content now and see if it crashes like it did during UHD content. HD content is playing via DXVA2-Native, btw.

If it still crashes my next test will be using 1.13.

videos with what codec have you tested for UHD? have you tried to use DXVAChecker? SkyLake 530 should support UHD h265 8bit @60Hz without problems.

I thought Skylake 530 only supported UHD at 29/30hz and a seperate UHD video card was needed to do it a 60hz.

Here are two sets of logs.
These logs are no good. The Windows application event log is needed to investigate crashes. The Watchdog includes that, so please use the Watchdog - either option 1 or 2 ("report a bug...").

Log files from the first post show:

In other words, that crash was caused by the LAV video codec. There's probably not much we can do about that, but I recommend you check your LAV video config. Other people may be able to offer advice if you provide screenshots.

    Hi :)

Yep both or multiple crash is related to LAV but it can be something wrong in MP that trigger it too in unmanaged code but hard to tell :(

    Code:

    And :
    Code:
    Exception: System.OutOfMemoryException
when loading font, it seems to be something wrong on GPU or something.
