I didn't really want or intend to hijack the thread in main section so i'll continue the discussion here.

i seem to be able to crash it quite often when playing music
Usually I do not react to those posts but I hardly believe you can crash a clean installed MP with MyMusic when not using unstable 3rd party stuff like some winamp plugins, etc.

Is there a log-featured bug report for all your crashes?

not sure if this is the log you want, but I'd just opened MP, went to play a song, and it just closes the program, doesn't do it all the time, just often.

Vis plugin is mikdrop.

    Reason is most probabyl Milkdrop.

This has been reported by some users and i myself had it 2 or 3 times.
However i can't figure out what the problem really is.
Please try with a different vis or even without a vis and see if it works for you.

i'd always figured that was the reason too, I'd install Geiss, but whenever i try switching to that in config i get an error message that crashes config.

When using Blue 2 wide, stability is fairly good, can't recall any crashes (without vis) and only a few in xface (without vis) I'm fairly happy with it now, and have accepted if i want vis i have to sacrifice stability.

It happens with me with all winamp plugins , only the lame windows media player vis works.

This is independant of the skin for me, i have tried a few skin - plugin possibilities.

I like milkdrop so much :_(

I have noticed this as well, but it seems very inconsistant. I notice it more often (i think) when exiting my videos and then going to my music. That said, I have only had it happen a handful of times and it is definitely not a deal-breaker for me.

You are right , also after i excited my videos!!

Then I go back o configuration and just enter the plugin configuration and exit again. then it works again. Until i whatched a movie.

My MP crashes almost every time I go to the Now Playing screen. It shows the album cover art, then displays other similar albums, then just freezes. The music keeps playing but the UI becomes unresponsive.

I've got a very new, clean install of MP, no visualisations, using Blue 2 Wide.

The error in the logs is:
2007-12-16 09:33:17.296875 [ERROR][MPMain]: Exception :Error in the application.

This is an indication that there's something wrong with your gaphics card driver.
i think there's a thread about that, when having ATI graohics card.
    Please search the forum.

Thanks, I logged a bug report as per the correct process and am working through the recommended solutions.
