In my case... I don't need to watch 21 videos to get this error. One day I got it and then watched another video and within 15 minutes it locked up again.

My guess would be that these 21 channel zapping / 21 video playback issues aren't the same as the hang that you are having. 21 issue happens during construction of the direct show graph.

I tried with all versions i found :

6.5.2600.2180 : The one apparently delivered with SP2
6.5.2600.2749 : Was on my laptop and i've got the DirectX SDK on it.
6.5.1.902     : The one included with the last DirectX Runtime (DirectX9.0c April)

No success so far

Hi,
There are now a fix in the SVN marked mediaportal-svn-06-07-2006--10-48.rar, works very well both with video & tv :lol:

Test it & give feedback, it works very well with nvidia & MPV codecs.

SWEET.... I reloaded MP because I wanted a clean install for the Zap2it plugin. Didn't even know there was a fix for this. Anyway you could give us some more info on the fix? I would like to know what was causing it.

the patched solved it for me, I can change the channels on my TV for more then 21 times, this patch seems to do the job.
