This problem has occurred intermittently since 2.2.0 and persists with 2.3.0 RC2 SVNs.
Every once in a while (often on a Saturday morning, but not necessarily) MP is still awake when I get up even though everything it was doing was long since finished. Logfiles of today's occurrence are attached, but I don't see anything in them to explain this behaviour. The only thing suspicious was an error in the EPG update from one of the grabbers, but the EPG update seems nonteheless to have finished. I have MP's PowerScheduler set to hibernate (S4) after 10 minutes, and WinXP MCE power management set to hibernate after 15 minutes.
I set PowerScheduler for 10 min. because WinXP doesn't seem to want to go to sleep while MP is running, and I like to sleep / resume with MP open to the home screen. So PowerScheduler invokes hibernate if MP is running, otherwise the XP power management takes over. What could be causing this?

P.S. I forgot to mention that I am still using the simple, old-fashioned TV 0.2 (no server 0.3). Current SVN I have installed is 16108, which I am updating immediately to the newest version.

    Hi,
From your log i can see that WebEPG it's not finished & runs all night, thats why MP not hibernates.

Update "Will try it here too, to check if something it's wrong seems like something it's up with sql & tv.db""

    Regards
    Roy

    Hi

I can confirm I also have this happen, not very often, maybe once every 2-3 weeks.
    (I use TVE3 & MediaPortal using S4 hibernate on a dedicated HTPC)

I use the WebEPG Grabber plugin in MediaPortal to wake the HTPC from hibernate at 04:00 every day, grab the EPG then it normally goes back to sleep. Just ocassionally at 07:00 the HTPC is still awake. I cannot get any response from it using the remote and have to reboot. Then it will be OK again, maybe for weeks.

I thought it was just windows doing something stupid but maybe its not. my system is set to suspend after some time period but it almost never does. sometimes it will work for a few days, maybe a week or two but sooner or late it will just refuse to sleep, even by pressing the power button on my remote (mapped to suspend).

My symptoms are similar, but different. I have EPG set up to update at 3:00 AM. Normally, the PC goes back to sleep when done (typically 1-2 hours). Occasionally, the system is still awake when I check it between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, although the logs indacate that there has been no activity for at least an hour or two. Otherwise, the system responds normally. I can use MP normally, and if I give it the "Hibernate" command, it goes to sleep as expected, and subsequently resumes and goes back to sleep normally.

Again, some logs would be more than useful.

My logs were posted with my original message above (including template). The problem has not recurred since, so there doesn't seem to be any point in posting newer logs, does there?

rsbrux, your problem is releated to webEPG.
