I was going from channel to channel using the "next" on by remote (channel +) when the screen blanked n moving forward. No matter what I tried I was unable to get an MP screen back. Used taskmanager to kill MP and collected logs (attached)

Having had a quick look it appears the ext channel was a rdio channel (?) and MP thewn exception (Exception :confused:ystem.NullReferenceException) from which mp didnt recover

(I think I will check my tv vhannels but still sounds like a bug)

Looks ik anothe similar incident.

I was selectin TV channels by remote utton 1 -> BBC1, 2 ->BBC23->ITV1 but every time I tried to go to 3 theplaying channel stutterd (audio fine, video stuttering/slow). Tried this a few times then exited and allowed watchdog to collect logs (attached)

Quick looks shows some exceptions and it appears that 3 is not ITV but ttext holidays. When I look at the channle mapping in tv config ITV is channel number 3...... confused

channel +/- is not based on channel numbers unless you tick one of the options in config. Normally this will just take you to the next guide in the EPG. If you go to EPG is ttext holidays listed after BBC2??

Thank for the pointer. I have "select channel by index" set in the MP client. Is that the right way round????

TTEXT holidays is not one of my tv channels. BBC THREE follows BBC TWO in the EPG listing and in my tv channel list

    cheers

Possibly.... not at home to check but if it does not work one way around then try the other ;)

just flipped the setting - no difference to the observed behaviour. On selected 3 (should be ITV) the playing channel (BBC 2) goes very slow on video and CPU usage sky rockets (fans come in). Stopped MP client and took logs (attached)

See my channels screenshot... sometimes scans pick up slight the wrong info and end up with the wrong channel numbers. Thanks for pointing this out so I could fix BBC One :)

Check what numbers are showing for your channels here.

FYI I have "Select Channel By Index" unticked and Freeview channel numbers work for me

I can reporduce this problem at will. In the latest logs when I select channel 3 it selects a Ttext channel and fails miserably (exceptionms). The thing that is confusing me is that I dont have a ttext channel - searching the system does not refeerence anything to do with Ttext. So where does MP keep all the channel information as mI want to find out wher the **** its getting the idea that channel 3 is ttext and not ITV as it tells me from the screen shot????

Could possibly be that your tv database has got itself into a state. If you scroll down your channel list and there are no teletext channels that you can check then this is odd.

Again probably not what you want to hear but I would export your schedules in TV service config and uninstall it and MySQL. Then install again (just choose the dedicated TV server option). Re-scan your channels, re-setup up groups and plugins.

An arse I know but I can not see any reason for this and it is working fine for other users (me included)
