btw your system specs are not complete. It would help if you could fill them in a little more.

Also you may find your system will struggle with only 1GB RAM, you may find an extra 1GB could solve some of these issues

thank you.....I think. Will try and do this tomorrow or maybe tonight if family allows a few minutes to get access

[ps - updated specs. 1g appears enough according to perfmon which I run remotely periodically. One thing I have noticed when doing that is the amazing amount of CPU time MP uses when doing nothing (sitting on home screen or just looking at schedule (when it gets so high the fans switch on)]

Well that looks like it cleared it -

after re installation and retune I also found a ttext channel in the radio section - deleted it I didn't reboot after the installation. The system appeared to worked and I set the system up to record lots overnight as a test. Everything was recorded but MP was having problems continually (exceptions) but carried on running. Also the system never suspended as the powerscheduler never ran. Put this down to experience and have rebooted (suspending no works) and will set up lots of recordings

One thing that surprised me was that things were remembered over the uninstall/reinsatall - notably the IP address used to talk between client/server.
