    Hi,

this could also be a TV server bug. MP freezes if I try to play back a scrambled radio channel on my DVB-C card. See attached logs. What I did:
    - Start MP
    - Start a DVB radio channel that is not scrambled -> works
    - Stop the channel
    - Start a DVB radio channel that is scrambled -> get a message that it is scrambled
    - Start again a DVB radio channel that is scrambled -> MP freezes

I use a TechniCrypt CW CAM in the CI-Slot of my DVB-C card. I have a valid subscription for those radio channels. Un-/scrambled TV channels work just fine! Unscrambled radio channels work fine.

Had this also with RC2 (no SVN)

    Hi,
I'm not seeing this here(dvb-s), is it only a dvb-c issue?

    Regards

    Hi

Not sure with this one, in the uk we get timed broadcasts on the same frequency, cbeebies for kids during the day and BBC3 for adults in the evening, MP picks up no signal if you tune to the channel at a non transmitting time, yet any dvb-t settop box or TV says channel off air, maybe related, just cannot prove :(
Its a case of TVServer just does not recognise the signal.

    Hi,

thanks for looking into this. Today I tested the latest SVN (06.09.2008) and the issue still is there. :(

But while testing I discovered something strange. I saw, that the scrambled channels do not have a provider. So I searched for a free to air channel, which also does not have a provider and voila, this channel chrashes too! So it seems as if it is not a problem of the scrambling, it seems to be a problem with channels that do not have a provider in general.

Perhaps this can be tested with manipulating the MP-DB. Is there any good free tool for MS-SQL?

    HTH,
    Flip.
