MP freezes when accessing external sources (1 Viewer)

hey MPs!

in MP1.2.3 I use two different data sources. One is in the local LAN, the other one is in a remote LAN that is connected by SVN.

In MP i can play local movies, but when loading the remote files (movies), it freezes.
I double checked in Windows. I can access the files in the explorer directly and copy /open them just fine. The only issue is the bandwith limitation (1MB/s for the remote files). Still, windows /VLC just takes 20-30 sec and than plays it fluidly.

In MP I did the test with the default video plugin as well as with moving pictures.
the moving pictures log only showed:

04-Nov-2012 08:47:11  Info [        MoviePlayer]: Playing: Movie='Test' FullPath='' \\192....\"

with no errors or suspicious info..

in the mediaPortal log both times it looked like the snap shot of the log file in the attachment

any help is appreciated

this can be closed.
the issue seems to be the remote server, that simply doesnt send any response to media portal.

I cant tell why there is no check for a timeout within moving picture. maybe the server already opened the file stream but didnt send any data.
