MP get frozen (1 Viewer)

I have a problem with my Media Portal.
Everything works fine at the beginning, but with some time has passed the text in My Video disappears, everything works slow or even got frozen for some time. If I try to run some movie I get an error message that some codec is missing. This never happens when I just enter MP. Did anybody encountered such a problem? Please help!!!
Soft/Hard:
WinXP SP3
MP 1.0.2
Nvidia GeForce 9400 512Mb
Memory 2Mb
Processor dual core

What codec's do you use?
Do you do anything at the time the problem starts or prior to it?
Have you tested playback of these files with MPC-HC player outside of MP, does it do the same?

Is your problem similar to this one?

In order for people to help, we need a better picture of your current situation/installation, codec's, drivers etc.
