MP hangs in MyMusic (1 Viewer)

When starting MP there's no overlay with the current played track and after a while it hangs completly. Pressing Alt-Return helps and also the overlay appears but after a short while it hangs again. It doesn't matter which skin I choose (I even chose blue two for testing).

I have also reinstalled the directx redistributables but nothing seems to help. Does anyone know what I can do to solve this?

After doing some research on related problems with directx I tested a newer graphics card driver (163.71) and now it works as expected.
