I have just upgraded to MP 1.2.3 in the hope that it might fix the regular (almost every time I start my HTPC) crashes I am experiencing, but unfortunately it has made no difference.

I have tried setting MP to restart on system resume which is boring as it slows startup so much, but it doesn't seem to help anyway.

I have Win 7 x 64 (fully up to date)
Nvidia GT430 (updated to Nvidia latest drivers)
Streamed MP
iMon remote control (Antec Fusion Max case)
Gigabyte H55M-UD2H v1.0 m/b, 4GB RAM

Connected via HDMI to Denon Amp.

Any help with troubleshooting would be much appreciated.

thanks

    Hi Keith

If you run MP in dubug mode (accessed from START menu), does this still happen.

ps. event log show a Microsoft Security Essential error, usually associated with having 2 lots of antivirus installed, this is not recommended, but possibly a faulty install of that.

As some people have had weird problems with the later nvidia drivers, might also be worthwhile testing with the drivers that came with your nvidia card, including me, latest is not always greatest ;)

    Hi Ray -
I'll try debug mode tonight when I get in. I recently uninstalled my expired Avast Internet Security suite and put MS Security Essentials on, so will check what is going on there. The crashing was happening before and after, so hopefully it is unrelated.

I hear you re 'updated' drivers. Might be worth trying an oldie.

    cheers.
