MP not initailizing and hogging memory (1 Viewer)

I have been using MP for the past few months and I have had bumps every now and then, but for the most part it has been stable.

Let me begin by telling you what changes I recently made to my HTPC. I installed the latest Catalyst drivers (v7.1) from ATI/AMD, and I updated the zap2it plugin to the 0.2.2.0 stable version.

I have attached the error log, some screenshots, and other logs for different scenarios. I think the cause of the problem is evident in the error log that I have attached. The problem is that my TVDatabase? is corrupt, causing MP to freeze and hog memory. Below is what caused this:

After installing the things aboveI watched a DVD and then put the computer in S3 standby. Upon waking the computer the next day I was not getting any video output. After a restart the video worked. I kept testing it, and I was able to solve the problem, but now when I would start MP it would freeze on "Starting Plugins..." When I went into Task Manager to close MP I saw that it was using up nearly all of my memory. See the screenshot "startup with zap2it.jpg"

I then deleted the Zap2it plugin and tried start MP again. MP was able to start, but the memory usage was still high. See screenshot "no zap2it.jpg"

I want to know if there is a way to fix this without a complete reinstall.

I'm having such trouble since I changed my "old" Pinnacle PCTV 110i to a brand new Hauppauge HVR-1300.
As far as I checked it looks related to the Analogue tuner of the Hauppauge:
Everything is ok when no/removed analogue tuner from setup, but when adding it the memory consumption grows about 1Gb! (configure.exe taking for himself about 700Mb RAM) and it takes about 10 minutes to show the card setup window. Same happens after reboot and trying to edit the analogue card setup.
When opening Mediaportal TV menu, it hangs for several minutes with only the blue background pictures until tuning TV becomes possible
I'm using svn so I'll try tonight with a clean 2.2.0 backup ...

It's now working nice and smooth, but only with last svn + tv engine (same version)
The problem now is that tv engine locks the cards and it's only possible to use other software (ProgDVB, Hauppauge TV software, etc...) after stopping tvserver services

Hi,
as the wiki says use the latest of both when testing & I dunno why you need to use other progs when using TVE3 which has the cards ready for scheduled recording if there are any
Use MP 0.2.2.0 if you need that option for now.

You are right, it is pretty cool to have the server ready at anytime

But the question here is that TVE3 was the only way to have mediaportal working with my new Hauppauge HVR-1300.

When using Mediaportal 0.2.2.0 or Mediaportal 0.2.2.0 + svn some kind of memory leak happens when adding/editing/opening the analogue tuner.
During this week-end tests I tried to add the tuner then to edit his config without closing configuration.exe first... results: configuration.exe reached about 1,4Gb memory just for him until windows freezed (this has taken about 10 minutes).
To have it working, I had to save and close the configuration app in between any config change to the analogue tuner.
At last I could have it working, but had to wait for several minutes between the launch of "My TV" and the so waited "My TV" screen.

TVE3 has some bugs with analogue radio: scanning locks stations but do not add them to the database (periodic bug) and tuning not working; but that's for another threat ...

Patience, development team is doing a great work, keep on going !
