Hi,

I have this problem with MP, occasionally when I press the info/osd button during video playback, MP stops responding and I have to restart MP or my HTPC.

Here is the error, which indicate there is maybe a memory problem. Does it mean system memory problem?
I can try to run MemTest but I wanted to ask if it's really problem with my sys. memory...

Thanks.

I have the same issue actually, It's quite annoying, so If someone could have a look at the issue it would be great. I'm on MP 1.1 Beta

Hi,

Here is the logfile you asked for. I've post only the error at the same time in the message-code.

Code:

Sounds like a skinning engine bug (a synchronizing issue). Unfortunately I have no idea how to fix it. Does it happen with all skins? As I haven't seen such ever with the Blue3 wide. We need to figure out how to reproduce the issue so that some developer can have a look why the texture removal and rendering aren't synchronized properly.

in my case it never happens when pressing the info button only once or twice during the movie, however ussually it fails around the 3th or 4th time and ussually when not exciting with previous but by clicking info again (goto menu)

I have exactly same issue - after several pressings info during playing movie. Using SVN BETA1 build r23978. Also having ATI HD 3200 with ATI Catalyst 9.10 on Win7 x64

Strange that it doesnt appeared during playing DVD. Only AVIs, MKVs...

    FontEngine.log attached...

Now it´s happening for me too. I have SVN 24102 + ATI HD 3200 too with 9.11. First it only happend when I used the new "Enhance smooth video playback" setting, but now it has started to happen even when it´s unset.

    Got this in Mediaportal.log:
2009-11-24 19:53:53.650839 [Info.][12]: render exception:confused:ystem.AccessViolationException: Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt.

2009-11-24 19:53:53.901839 [Info.][MPMain]: TsReaderPlayer: AudioDualMonoMode switching not available. Audioswitcher filter not loaded

Edit: Tested again with and without that setting. Now i cannot reproduce the problem. I guess it´s a video memory problem? (again)

Edit again: More testing: Froze again at 19:57. Fontengine log had errors at 19:53 and 19:57 The freeze was only at the second error.
    Fontegine.log:

Restarted MP and everything works normal with several tests until 21:32 when it freezes again when I test info button
    Fontengine.log:

    24-11-2009 21:32:10.909 [1040]FontEngineRemoveTexture - called when inPresentTextures = true, using delayed remove for 1995

Same error in Mediaportal.log as before. Hope info can help debugging.

    Edit again :)
Problem seems to be in TVOSD.xml. If I replace it with VideoOsd.xml, there is no freeze.
