I've just checked and there is no such tab!

The system does seem to be responding again and the mouse (PS/2) will bring it to life, so its got to be something between the BIOS and Windows USB. I have enabled USB s3 resume in the BIOS.

    Hello,

same issue here, after installing SVN / stable SVN MedioPortal will not go into hibernation: windows screen 'preparing for hibernation' stays on forever. (when using a hibernation tool, it will go into hibernation).
Below you will find the piece of log with extended powerscheduling logging on:

    It stops at '11-7-2006 7:52:56 fonts.Dispose()

I'm sure it worked before, and I'm sure I have not changed any Bios settings....

    Please advice.

    kind regards,
    Ruud.

You have to enable S3 standby in your computer's BIOS. Also enable "resume from PS/2" and perhaps "resume from USB" as well. Most motherboards these days will support this. Then make sure you can go into S3 standby with your fans/hd off, and resume by pressing a key or moving your mouse.

BTW - even once this is working I experience problems with the power scheduler. I've only got it to wake up for recording if I go into standby through MP's button - not if it goes to sleep automatically.

This should be fixed in the MP 0.2 Final + Patch release.

Fixed, issue appears to be a skin issue, switched back to BlueTwo and my HTPC went smoothly into hibernation. (error related to BlueTwo Metal Dark).
Can somebody confirm so we can communicate with skinner?

    Thanks,
    Ruud.

Try this Registry Patch ("Registry Patch für USB Wakeup"), it should bring back that tab. On this site are also some usefull tips about standby issues in the faqs.

Also check that in Device Manager, under the computer node, that it is something along the lines of ACPI Uniprocessor PC, or Advanced Computer Power Interface PC (some pre-built PCs like DELL and HP have their own slightly modified one).

I am assuming that your mobo supports ACPI btw.

    Hi,

I am a bit new to this but anyway I seem to have somewhat of the same problem with powerscheduler.
    I can:
start the htpc with the remote from sleep and shutdown
put the htpc to sleep with the remote
put the htpc to sleep through media portal
inactivity timer of powerscheduler is set to 30 min and does put the htpc to sleep
    record when MP is active
schedule a recording when MP is active

I cannot get the htpc to wake up from sleep for a scheduled recording

    Any ideas?
I searched throughout the forum but cannot find any situation that is quite like this one.

    help....

    Hi,

I checked your log and saw that you have scheduled a recording. For further checkings please post the start time and the end time of your scheduled recording.
