MP RC3 hangs after stopping recorded tv (1 Viewer)

Hi,

I'm using the MP RC3 with the last friday svn in Vista Service Pack 1.

That is the only problem I have since I changed from RC2 to RC3.
When I'm watching a recorded tv program and I stop it, MP hangs and I have to force it to close by using the task manager. It also hangs when instead of stopping it I try to go to the previous window with the remote.

Obviously, if I watch that recorded program through My Videos folder, I have no problem at all. The hanging only happens when accesing the recording with the "Recorded TV" option in "My TV"


I would appreciate some help. Thank you in advance.

I also did have the same problem - I think it was related to codecs. I had different video and audio codecs setup for live tv and video. Setting them to be the same seems to have resolved this. Worth a check

I had a similar problem, when I pressed stop while watching a recording in fullscreen, I got a black screen, and the only way to get MP going again was to force quit. Jumping back to the previous screen and pressing Pause worked, though.

The solution for me was to change the Renderer from VMR9 to EVR. I think that is the preferred Renderer for Vista, anyway. Might be worth a try.
